Black Forest Cupcake Recipe
A Very delicious recipe for black forest cupcakes.
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 1/2 cup confectioners sugar
1 1/2 Cups butter, at room temperature
1 1/4 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
5 Tablespoons cocoa powder
1/3 cup milk
1/8 teaspoon salt
12 maraschino cherries in syrup
1/2 cup of syrup from cherries
1 cup heavy cream, whipped to stiff peaks
1/4 teaspoons chocolate shavings
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Line cupcake pan with baking cups.
To make the cupcakes, Cream together butter and sugar and set aside
In a large bowl, sift together all purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and cocoa powder.
Using an electric mixer, beat the eggs until fluffy about 10 minutes.
Pour the beaten eggs into the creamed sugar-butter mixture and beat again until well mixed
Add the vanilla.
Fold in wet mixture into the dry ingredients.
Pour the batter into the prepared muffin pan.
Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Drizzle each cupcake with cherry syrup.
Beat the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
To serve, top cupcakes with whipped cream, a cherry and chocolate shavings.
