Garlic Scalloped Potatoes Recipe
This yummy garlic scalloped potatoes recipe with a crispy cheese topping.
4-6 large potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
2 Tablespoons butter
1/2 cup onion, diced
1 cup heavy cream
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
2 teaspoons parsley, chopped fine
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Grease a 9 inch baking dish.
Layer half of the potato slices and all of the onion in the bottom of the casserole dish.
Dot with half of the butter.
Arrange the garlic slices over the potatoes, then pour half of the heavy cream over.
Season with salt and pepper. Repeat layering of potatoes, butter, garlic, cream.
Sprinkling the cheddar cheese over top.
Season again with salt and pepper. Cover with foil.
Bake for 40-45 minutes.
Then sprinkle the parmesan cheese over the top.
Continue baking uncovered for another 30 minutes, or until potatoes are tender when tested with a fork.
Garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
