Meatloaf And Gravy Recipe

A Hearty recipe for Meatloaf and gravy is great also served with potatoes and vegetables.
2 lbs lean ground beef
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1/3 cup milk
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1/4 teaspoon dried leaf thyme, crumbled
3 Tablespoons butter
1/3 cup flour
2 cups beef stock
1/3 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon Kitchen Bouquet seasoning
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a loaf pan, or line with parchment paper.
Mix ground beef, salt, pepper, eggs, bread crumbs, milk, Worcestershire, onion, thyme, and rosemary.
Pack into loaf pan or shape into a loaf and place on a baking sheet.
Refridgerate for 1 hour to set.
Bake for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
While the meatloaf is baking, prepare gravy.
To prepare the gravy, melt butter in a medium-sized sauce pan.
Add flour and stir. Cook the flour and butter mixture stirring constantly for 3-5 minutes.
Add the stock and stir with a wire whisk until blended.
Add milk, thyme, Worcestershire sauce and Kitchen Bouquet. Stir to blend.
Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to your taste and serve over meatloaf.
