Milk Gravy Recipe Photo source: Grandmother's Kitchen
This milk gravy recipe is easy to make and you can have ready to pour over chicken if you are not making a regular brown gravy for it. Ingredients2 Tablespoons butter 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon black or white pepper 1/2 cup chicken broth, cold 1 Tablespoon cornstarch 2 Tablespoons fresh chopped dill (Makes just over 1 cup, double if you have a larger group you need the gravy for) DirectionsUse a small saucepan to make the milk gravy. Melt the butter over low heat and add the milk, salt and pepper and bring to a simmer over medium heat. In a measuring cup, stir the cornstarch into the chicken broth to make a slurry. When the milk is simmering, whisk in the cornstarch mixture. It will thicken quickly. Bring to a boil, stirring the whole time then shut off and remove from the burner. Stir in the dill. Do a taste test and season as necessary.
