Strawberry Cream Parfaits Recipe
This Go To recipe for Strawberry Cream Parfaits, is light, fast to make and a perfect dessert after a heavy meal.If you want a beautiful dessert and don't have a lot of time, this dessert is always impressive. You can substitute other fruits in it as well.
One 1-pound bag frozen unsweetened strawberries, thawed or 1 pound fresh strawberries
*Leave a few whole berries for garnish.
3 teaspoons granulated sugar
1 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
In a medium bowl, using a fork, chop and slightly mash the berries and any juices into a chunky sauce. Sprinkly on the 3 teaspoons sugar and set aside.
Chill the clean bowl of a stand mixer and the whisk attachment in the freezer for 10 minutes. Add heavy cream, and sugar and vanilla to the bowl and whisk on high speed until medium peaks form, about 1 minute.
To assemble choose your parfait glasses and starting with stawberries at the bottom, alternate berries and whipping cream, ending with whipping cream at the top. Garnish with a berry. Serve. Makes 4.
